She's a performer and an actress who hails from the United States. Ashanti became famous as a teenager. In 2002, she was signed to Murder Inc. Records. The same year, she also in The Fat Joe's What's Luv? Ja Rule's track, Always on Time as well as Fat Joe's What's Luv? In the year she debuted her debut single What's Luv which ranked at the second spot in the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at number one with Foolish as her debut single, she became the only female artist to accomplish this feat. It was the first female artist to hold both of the top two spots on American Billboard Hot 100 and with the number one spot held by Foolish. one and the other being What's Loving? She was also featured on Fat Joe's single"What's Luv?" Ja Rule's "Always on Time" and Fat Joe's What's Luv! In her debut song Foolish and Foolish, the DeBarge song Stay with Me from 1983 is sampled. Ashanti has released her debut album, titled "Ashanti" in 2002, under Irv Getti's Murder Inc. Record Label. The Declaration her fourth studio album was launched on June 3, 2008. Hey Baby, After the Club (released via the radio and on digital format) dropped on the 16th of October in 2008. She played Latasha on Army Wives and starred in the movie Christmas in the City.
